FIM World Trial Championship Australian round open to local riders
March 07, 2014

Motorcycling Australia (MA) are inviting Australian riders to compete with the world’s best at the 2014 FIM World Trial Championship round held in Mt Tarrengower, Maldon VIC on 12-13 April 2014.

The event is run under the FIM rules for trial, which are also attached. Riders should read these carefully to understand the many subtle rules of the world championship, including the no-stop scoring definitions, and the entry fees for riders and minders that will need to be paid on the day of scrutineering, which is the Friday before the event.

The Motorcycling Australia Trials Commission wishes to encourage local riders to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to compete with the world best trial riders, by entering the Australian round of the FIM Trial World Championship.

A number of changes in the FIM rules since the last Australian WTC have made it more possible for local riders to participate in this years event, which is great news for Australian trials.

Riders must have an FIM competition license, at a cost of $300 for a single event, and do not need to take out FIM level insurance as the event is being held in Australia, saving local riders at least $648, another reason for making the Australian round THE round to ride. Minders and assistants only need their normal MA license for this event.

Entry Forms, FIM Trial Regulations and FIM License applications are available online from the World Trial Championship Australia website, applications close COB 28 March 2014.
