Horsham will play host to the excitement of the only stand-alone female specific National Championship event in Australia, and the last open event for the 2014 Motocross Calendar where riders in the MX1 and MX2 classes can earn themselves a wild-card entry for the 2014 Australian Motocross Nationals.
A host of the girls will compete for number one honours including Tayla Jones, fresh off a round two win in the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship is set to compete in this years title, with no oversized obstacles in her path at Horsham, Jones is sure to make a real charge for top spot over the weekend.
The last WMX championship was run in 2012 and won in a dominationg performance by MX superstar Meghan Rutledge who has gone on this year to win both moto’s in the opening round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship in Qatar earlier this year.
It certainly speaks volumes of the skill level the girls competing in Horsham will possess, the weekend is a fantastic showcase of up and coming talent of women’s racing in the country.
