MA releases 2017 MoMS cover and highlights amendments

The 2017 MoMS cover

Motorcycling Australia is pleased to announce the official release of the 2017 Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMS) front cover, and would like to notify all MA members of the amendments that have been made to the online version of the 2017 MoMS.

Due to the nature of the ever expanding and adapting technologies and infrastructure introduced to Motorcycling in all disciplines, it is important to note the changes that relate you.

Some of the major changes we would like to advise:

  • MX number panel colours from MX1 and MX2 have been rectified
  • The Trial number panel colour for women has been changed from Yellow to Blue
  • There has been an infringement amendment to Trial section of the MoMS (now on page 251)
  • MX Flags have been changed under Appendix B (refer to MX Yellow Flags)

The 2017 MoMS cover this year highlights the outstanding achievements of the three World Speedway Champions. The front cover recognising the achievements of two times Speedway Youth 250cc World Cup Champion Matthew Gilmore.

The back cover features the three remaining but equally notable Speedway World Champions including Speedway Sidecar World Cup pair Darrin Treloar and Blake Cox and 2016 Speedway Under-21 World Cup Champion Max Fricke.

Inside both the front and back covers of the 2017 Manual of Motorcycle Sport features a compilation of images acknowledging the effort of the four times International Six Days Enduro Womenís Trophy Teamís Champions Jessica Gardiner, Tayla Jones and Jemma Wilson. As well as Australian Superbike Champion Crankt Protein Honda Racing Teamís Troy Herfoss.

Motorcycling Australia would like to recognise all the achievements of the 2016 National and World Champions, as well as highlight the importance of reading and understanding the Manual of Motorcycle Sport for the 2017 season.
