Patrick Li to Race in ARRC Round in Thailand
November 22, 2017

Patrick Li, a competitor in the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli will be racing in the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at Chang International Circuit in Thailand from 1-3 of December.

Liís will race with the Akeno Speed WJR racing team which is from Singapore and is also the same team that Anthony West raced in the ARRC this year.

The Asia Road Racing Championship final round will be contested by Li and Broc Pearson who both competed in the ASBK this year.

Li shared; ďIíve known the team manager for a couple of years and I got a phone call offering for me to race in the final round of the ARRC. Itís a great opportunity and I canít wait to get racing in an Asian championship. Iíll be competing in the Supersport class which is the series premier class. Itís a great championship with plenty of fast riders.

ďOf course, this will be my first time on the Thailand circuit so it will be important to adapt to the track quickly. Many of the riders would have been on that track on multiple occasions so I will be playing catchup there.

ďIn terms of machinery, Iíll be racing on a Yamaha YZF-R6. The bike spec is different to the ASBK and is more similar to World SSP. The engine, tuning and ECU is different but the chassis is similar to ASBK.

ďBroc Pearson will also be racing there this weekend in the 300ís, so itís great to see multiple ASBK riders heading overseas to compete.Ē Li finished
